Architect: Humphreys & Partners Architects

General Contractor: March Associates

Vinty, short for "Vintage City," celebrated Elizabeth's 350-year-old history and consisted of 267 units across four stories of wood-frame residential construction atop a podium-parked garage, along with over 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and office space. Vinty set a new standard of living in the submarket and featured Class-A interiors with a full luxury amenity package, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, on-site dog park, virtual golf simulator, resort-style pool with jacuzzi room, and much more.

The interior unit finishes were among the best in the market, featuring quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, modern cabinetry, undermount sinks, smart home features, in-unit washers and dryers, wood-style plank flooring, and walk-in closets.

Vinty's exceptional proximity to public transportation and walkable amenities earned it an impressive Walk Score of 95. Just three stops from New York Penn Station, Elizabeth offered direct rail access to Manhattan at a rental discount compared to other transit-oriented downtowns in New Jersey such as Harrison, South Orange, and Montclair. Newark Liberty International Airport was accessible within five minutes by rail (and also five minutes by car), while Newark Penn Station was just ten minutes away. Residents could also switch to the Jersey City PATH line at Newark Penn, providing easy access to Jersey City and Downtown Manhattan.

The Elizabeth Train Station provided rare access to two train lines—the Northeast Corridor and the North Jersey Coast Line—offering commuters flexible options and access to major employment hubs such as Metropark and New Brunswick, as well as New Jersey shore destinations including Long Branch and Asbury Park.

Elizabeth, the County Seat of Union County, remained an epicenter of economic activity. Vinty was located one block from Broad Street and Morris Avenue, Elizabeth’s primary downtown corridors, offering a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. Union County College and the Trinitas School for Nursing were situated directly across the street, while the Union County Courthouse, the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the Union County Administrative Building were just three blocks away. Trinitas Regional Medical Center, a 554-bed hospital staffed by over 450 professionals, was located within a half-mile of the property.
